Some people believe success is all about having lots and lots of money. Its A Lie!

Yea, there is some truth to it, but that little truth in it can’t stand the test of time. Only the ultimate truth can stand the test of time; which makes it a lie.

A lot of people have lots and lots of money but are not successful. Deep huh? Nope. Not really.

Financial success is not success (at least not to me)

Financial success = partial success.

Answer these questions then define your own success, but before that, success to me is fulfilling my God given destiny here on earth. Fulfilling my God given destiny will bring comfort, peace, joy, love and grace. What is success without all of that?

Questions (5 Questions):

What is success without good health? What is wealth without health? How will you enjoy your success?

What is success without true and real people to help you enjoy your success? Loneliness can kill.

What is success without a positive impact to society?

What is success without peace?

What profits a man if he gains the world, but loses his soul? Think About It.

True success is not meant for the the wicked, the lazy nor the selfish.

If you are thinking more about yourself when you think about success, then you will not be successful.

Can We Talk About Anything Else Besides: Money, Sex, Drugs and Alcohol?

Some of the stuff we listen to is not really music. It is complete trash. I mean, I am personally sick and tired of hearing the same stuff over and over again. The only difference is, it is to a different beat. Our music industry is really sucking in this generation. I want to hear real and good music on the radio again. Most of these rappers or singers do not do half of the stuff they rap about. It is a publicity stunt for fame, money, and power. I ask myself this question, where are the real musicians? Is the music industry so soaked in the notion of “quantity trash” over quality? Every idiot can grab a microphone and rap about the same old stuff we are all sick and tired of: money, sex, drugs and alcohol. I personally do not believe life is all about that. There is more to life than money, sex, drugs and alcohol.

Soulja Boy can literally rap about his day: “Turn my swag on”. I mean come on!

This compared to this:

These are the kind of songs we need to bring back to our society. Songs which will motivate us and get us going. Song which will make us think and which will get us to chase the most important things in life.

I feel bad for our generation and the generations after us. All we see and all they will see is money, sex, drugs and alcohol. PATHETIC.  Some do not or will not get the chance to see the most important things in life. Yes, some of these stupid songs are great for parties and other stuff. I am not totally denouncing it because then I will be a total fake since I do enjoy some of these song at parties. But we should definitely bring back our good songs!

Good music is sometimes like the medicine which makes you feel better without prescription.

Beauty Missing? Pay Attention And You Might Find It

So last night, my girlfriend and I were watching Surfs Up. It was indeed a good and funny movie. We both enjoyed it but from the look of things, she enjoyed it the most. She was laughing like she has never seen it before; but then again, that is Aliyah for you. She enjoys laughing and loves to laugh. I am glad I sometimes make her smile and laugh. Erhh it is indeed a beautiful scene seeing her laugh or smile.

After every movie, there are of course the credits we all don’t pay attention to. For some strange reason, I allowed the credits to roll (probably because I was enjoying my chinese and did not really care) and of course great music comes with the credits. This particular song stood out to my girlfriend and it was a song my Lauren Hill – Lose Myself. The song was absolutely beautiful. I was surprised I never heard this song before.

The song is absolutely beautiful in the sense that, Lauren’s lyrics are flying all over the place. I mean in a way, the lyrics are rhythmic in their own world, while the tune is also moving in a whole new direction, but they eventually come together and give it a whole new beauty. You will think she is just reciting something, but in reality, she is actually singing. I mean it is like “beautiful commotion”. Because of the commotion, you might miss the beauty aspect of the song.  It brought me back to my earlier post about what music has to be to me:

“To me, MUSIC has to be:

M – Magical. Music has to be magical. It has to sweep you off your feet. It might be a club banger, but it has to be swift and like I said, magical.

U – Unique. To me, music can be unique. The more unique a particular can of song is, the better.

S – Sexy. Do not get me wrong, I mean sexy as in appealing, catchy, and attractive. Yes, I am describing like I will describe a cute girl. The sexiness of music starts from the writer to the producer. The music has to be a great tune in a way that it catches the ears of an individual, the way sexiness catches the eye.

I – Influential. Beyond words, music can certainly influence you and give you a whole new mindset and energy on things.

C – Creative. Besides it being unique (existing as the only one or sole example), music has to be creative (coming from originality of thought or expression).”

Lauren Hill’s song definitely passed my test and added a whole new flavor to it.

When we pay attention to the most interesting things in this world (UNIQUE things), we might be weirded out at first because it is different. But the more we pay attention, the more we realize and see its beauty. It is actually a beautiful song. Hope you all see the beauty I see when I listen to the song.
